Successfully Launched at BMMU, Laharighat Dev. Block, Morigaon
With an objective to strengthen rural economy by facilitating rural transport to the needy and in order to generate income by the rural poor women SHGs’ members “Ajeevika Grameen Express Yojana” has been successfully launched at BMMU, Laharighat Dev. Block of Morigaon District on 16/09/2017. In the launching programme Project Manager, SMMU, Guwahati, Sri Pallab Goswami expressed satisfaction towards officials of BMMU, Laharighat and Jeevika CLF of SHGs’ (a cluster level federation) for taking the initiative of purchasing E-RICKSHAW as alternative source of income generating activity which might help almost 4500 Nos. of SHGs’ women covering 6 GPs’ and 38 VOs’ in the entire cluster area of Laharighat Dev. Block. Sri Chandan Talukdar, DPM from DMMU, Nagaon, also put emphasis of social unity as well as social responsibilities of the women for all around development of the region. Bijoy Deb, BPM, from BMMU, Laharighat Dev. Block informed the house that the “Jeevika CLF of SHGs’ has purchased the E-RICKSHAW from various fund received from ASRLM. BPM has also given extended thanks to all the participants along with the officials from SMMU, DMMU and BMMU for making the event a grand success and finally ensured the house to extend helping hand to the needy meant for the purpose. The meeting was also shared by Ostar Uddin Ahmed (BC), Wahidul Hussain (BC), Jyoti Bikash Baishya (BC), Sanjoy Kr. Das (BC), Foizul Hassan (BC) and other officials of the Block.
