'Tejaswini’ is the brand name given to the First Producers’ Collective of ASRLMS. The word ‘Tejaswini’ literally means brilliant, splendid, bright lady. It is expected that ‘Tejaswini’ will illuminate the world of women weavers of Assam with its collective radiance. It was launched on the day of Inauguration of the SARAS fair on 30thJanuary, 2016.The handloom products of ‘Tejaswini’ were kept for sale at the fair.
‘Tejaswini’ has been launched with the objective to bring all women weaver members of the Self Help Groups (SHGs) promoted under ASRLMS under one umbrella and to facilitate better marketing of their products, which will eventually help the members to live a better life. Tejaswini will assist the members by providing training on new designs as per the market trend, through expert designers as well as aims to provide customers satisfaction by producing different products as per their requirement, without compromising on the quality. It is likely that ‘Tejaswini’ will generate a great acceptance among the customers, from all segments very soon.
