70 SHG Members of Mayong and Dolgaon Sialmari block were trained at ASRLM, SMMU office to assemble high quality solar study lamps under the "Million SoUL Program” an combined initiative of Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE)  and  MoRD.

The 5 days training was organized in partnership with Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) from 18^th to 22^nd September, 2017

Involvement of SHG members in this program will not only give them a source of alternate livelihood practice but at the same time empower them as the medium of bringing light to many rural households. 

SHG members will be engaged in assembling, distribution and repair & maintenance of the solar study lamp.
