Meaning of the Logo
The ASRLM logo design represents a bird soaring high at the same time it forms a human hand. The logo symbolically represents lifting up the rural community through the development of their skills. The hand holds the house and tree signifying nurturing and enhancing the livelihood of the rural community. The flying bird denotes reaching for new heights with wings as the hands (Skills and Empowerment). Green and Earthy colors represent rural community, nature, growth, fertility and abundance.
The Logo also bears a ‘Tagline’ defining the objective of the Mission and it comes in two versions of languages:
In Assamese: ‘জীৱিকা উত্তৰণৰ দিশে ’ (Jibika Uttoronor Dixe)
In English: Towards Livelihood Promotion
The Logo was designed by Mr. D. Udaya Kumar, Associate Professor IIT- Guwahati, He is also known as the designer of the India Rupee Symbol ₹
